Native Americans in Texas PROJECT (due Monday, 10/6/14)

We have studied 5 Native American tribes: Caddo, Karankawa, Jumano, Comanche, and Lipan Apache.  Each student chooses their favorite tribe.  For your project, you must create a "buckskin" pouch that contains items that represent your tribe's food source (economy), habitat and skills (interesting facts), and organization (government).  Your pouch must contain a minimum of 4 items.
On the back of, or attached to, each item you make you must write one sentence about how the item represents your tribe.  For example, “The Caddo lived in beehive-shaped houses made from wood and dried grasses."
On the back of the pouch, attach a short writing assignment that describes the similarities and differences between your tribe and one of the other tribes that lived in Texas around the same time.  Your writing assignment should be 3 paragraphs and a summary statement.
     Paragraph 1: Introduction (2-3 sentences)
Paragraph 2: Similarities with another tribe (2-3 sentences)
Paragraph 3: Differences with another tribe (2-3 sentences)
     Summary Statement (1 sentence)
